Men’s college basketball: Air Force at Nevada

Nevada (13-10, 6-5 MW) returns to Lawlor Events Center on Tuesday to host Air Force (9-13, 3-7 MW) on Tuesday at 8 p.m.  The game will air on ESPN2. A reminder season tickets have the game as Wednesday, Feb. 5, but the date was shifted to Tuesday Feb. 4 after tickets were printed and sent to season ticket holders. Senior Jazz Johnson missed the game at Boise State as his shoulder was bothering him.  He will see the doctors in Reno to determine his status for the game with Air Force.  Johnson is second on the team scoring 16.3 points per game.  He tops the MW in in 3-pointers made per game (3.2), 3-point percentage (42.3%) and 3-pointers made (71).  He also ranks nationally in all three categories. The Wolf Pack won the first meeting 100-85 in the first game of the Mountain West schedule for the Pack.  Jalen Harris scored game-high 31 points in the victory. The Falcons enter the game having dropped their last four games while Nevada has lost its last two contests. Lavelle Scottie leads Air Force in scoring at 15.1 points per game and in rebounding at 5.4 per contest.  Ryan Swan is second on the squad scoring 13.5 points per game and is second in rebounding at 4.6 per outing.  A.J. Walker is the third Falcon player scoring in double figures contributing 12 points per game. The Pack are led by Jalen Harris who scores a MW high 20 points per contest and his 24 points per game in conference play is also first.  Harris has scored 30 or more points in the last two games and four times on the season.  The last Nevada player with four games of 30 or more points was Nick Fazekas in the 2005-06 season. Lindsey Drew tops the team with his 4.3 assists per game to rank fourth in the conference.  Drew is third on the team scoring 11.6 points per game. Senior Nisré Zouzoua scored a Pack career-best 20 points in the win over New Mexico.   Zouzoua made 6-of-7 3-pointers in the victory and it was the first time he led the team in scoring.   At CSU he was 5-for-5 from behind the arc.  He earned the start for Johnson at BSU.  On the season he is averaging 9.4 points per game off the bench.
