Nevada junior guard Jalen Harris will declare for the 2020 NBA Draft, per ESPN NBA Draft analyst Jonathan Givony.

Givony released the news to his Twitter account on Saturday that Harris will declare for the NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-5 guard has a lightning quick first step to attack the rim and can shoot from 3-point territory off the dribble. He was second on the team in steals with 34.

Harris is the sixth player in Nevada history to enter the NBA Draft before their senior season. He joins Luke Babbitt, Armon Johnson, JaVale McGee, Ramon Sessions, Kirk Snyder and Sam Mosley.

In his first season at Nevada, Harris led the Mountain West Conference with 21.6 points per game on 44.6 percent shooting from the field. He tallied 15 20-point games and six 30-point games on the year.

Harris was selected to the All-MW first team and named to the NABC and USBWA All-District teams.

Harris, a Dallas, Texas native, spent two seasons at Louisiana Tech before transferring to Nevada. He was forced to sit out the 2018-19 campaign, but put his talents on the map with a dominant junior season.

NBA teams are currently joining together to push the NBA Draft back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The NBA Draft was originally scheduled for June 25.

  1. It would be a great joy watching Jalen Harris rocking in NBA along with Kirk Snyder. He is a rising star and I see him in top 10 players of the coming championship.
