Reno’s Jason King plays Harrah’s Tuesday Night Blues

Jason King returns to Tuesday Night Blues with the Buddy Emmer Blues Band.

Reno’s Jason King is the featured artist at Harrah’s Tuesday Night Blues with the Buddy Emmer Blues Band on Jan. 14 at the Lake Tahoe casino’s Center Stage.

Not only does he Live in Reno, King also shot a man in Reno (according to his smooth cover of the Johnny Cash classic “Folsom Prison Blues.”)

A fiery Stratocaster player, Jason King is one of the best known bluesmen in Northern Nevada. He became enamored with the music when as a boy living in the Philippines he tuned in a blues station on a transistor radio. His uncle taught him to play the guitar he he was 11. He’s a three-time Reno Blues Society representative at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

Tuesday Blues events are free. Music starts at 8 p.m. with an opening set by the Buddy Emmer Blues Band, followed by a set of the guest artist’ s music and a third set featuring an improvised jam.
