A fiery Stratocaster player, Jason King is one of the best known bluesmen in Northern Nevada. He became enamored with the music when as a boy living in the Philippines he tuned in a blues station on a transistor radio. His uncle taught him to play the guitar he he was 11. He’s a three-time Reno Blues Society representative at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Tuesday Blues events are free. Music starts at 8 p.m. with an opening set by the Buddy Emmer Blues Band, followed by a set of the guest artist’ s music and a third set featuring an improvised jam.
