Brent Dennen’s show at the Crystal Bay Casino will be a sit-down affair.

Ready to have a sit down with singer-songwriter Brett Dennen? Kick off your ski boots and enjoy a special seated show in the Crown Room at Crystal Bay Club Casino, where the acoustic performer will kick off his third-annual Lift Series tour.

“Can’t wait to get back to some of the best ski towns in America. Can’t wait to ski. Can’t wait to play,” Dennen said.

Dennen sent out an invite on Facebook: “Just a few weeks away. I love to ski. I dream of being a ski bum in one of these great ski towns I’ll be coming to. Come out and see me, won’t you.”

An avid skier, Dennen is taking his winter tour to some of his favorite resort towns, combining slope time with performances at Lake Tahoe, Aspen and Boulder in Colorado, Bozeman, Montana, and Salt Lake City. He’s also a watercolor artist and created some promo paintings for the Lift Series.

He plays at 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Crystal Bay. Tickets for the show are $28 in advance. New Breed Brass Band will deliver a free after-party in the Red Room. Guests must be 21 or older.

Raised in the quiet Central Valley town of Oakdale, Dennen, 39, was homeschooled and spent ample time pursuing creative endeavors and exploring how to play music. After learning to play guitar, he started writing songs at an early age. He later attended the University of California, Santa Cruz.

A folk-pop singer, Dennen has released six studio albums, including “Por Favor” in 2016. In November, he rolled out a 15-date Here’s Looking At You Kid Tour in the South, East Coast and Midwest.

With snow on the slopes, local ski bums and music fans have a chance to keep warm during An Evening with Brett Dennen at Crystal Bay.
