Earles of Newtown performs Hot Jazz and "Swingin' Dixie" with a 9-piece band that has been moving folks to shake the dance floors all over Northern California and Nevada. The return show at The Saint is at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 22. The cover is $5. Must be 21.

It's, like, A Totally 80's Dance Party at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Whiskey Dick's Saloon. Reno's New Wave Crave will be playing the hits in this free show for guests 21 and older. Expect to hear the music of David Bowie, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, and more. Well, like, don't miss it. Special lame prizes will be given for biggest shoulder pads, skinniest tie and most comfortable leg warmers. Eighties attire is totally recommended.

More than 50 death metal bands, including Origin, Ghoul and Alterbeast, will appear at the three-day Spring Meltdown Festival in Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe. Three-day tickets are $65. Single day and VIP tickets are available. Thursday's tickets are $15. On Friday and Saturday, it's $30.

The Brothers Comatose will appear at the midtown Reno music venue, The Saint at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26. Ben and Alex Morrison’s parents were musicians who hosted house jams. Somebody left a banjo after one of the get-togethers. Alex picked it up, and Ben strummed along with his guitar. They added fiddle player Philip Brezina, mandolinist Ryay Avellone and upright bassist Gio Benedetti and called themselves Brothers Comatose for their trance-inducing jams.
