Valhalla Tahoe: Loud as Folk – Lauren and Vic

Loud as Folk returns to the Valhalla Boathouse Theater with Lauren and Vic on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Loud As Folk is a hub of the Reno songwriting scene with a focus on highlighting emerging artists who have distinct approaches to all genres of American roots music. In the process of bringing these acts together to perform, a beautiful community naturally formed with artists and audience members alike. The movement has grown to a global network of songwriters who collaborate, tour, and record in ever changing combinations. This edition of the showcase sees founder Spike McGuire joined by Lauren Napier and Vic Ruggiero (from legendary NYC ska act The Slackers), who recently released an album recorded exclusively for Loud As Folk’s monthly record club.
