A diversified collection of bands have been selected to play a Friday night concert series at Kings Beach State Recreation area.
An annual summertime series, the Kings Beach shows start June 27 with the longtime Tahoe the Blues Monsters. With the Fourth of July falling on a Friday, the series will have a week off before resuming July 11 with the Tahoe progressive funk band Drop Theory.
The shows start about 6:30 Fridays. Food, beer, wine and other beverages will be available until 8:30 p.m. The series concluded Aug. 29 with the rock band Jacked Up.
The lineup was announced this week by the North Tahoe Business Association.
