Bob Dylan is tangled up in Tahoe blue again.
The iconic singer-songwriter returns to on Friday, June 12, to Harveys Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena, the venue announced this morning.
Tickets ranging in cost between $69.50 and $149.50 go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13. Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats and Hot Club of Cow Town will open.
For Harveys, it’s the ninth date set for the 2020 Summer Concert Series. Also today it was announced a reggae show with Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Don Carlos and Common Kings will play June 13. Kenny Chesney and Michael Franti team up on July 2-3, Rascal Flatts plays July 11, Old Dominion performs July 17, Phish returns July 21-22 and it’s Dierks Bentley on Aug. 15.
Dylan and Willie Nelson played August 2009 at Harveys, then Dylan played the venue in 2010. He also performed here in 2003, the first year of the contemporary Harveys Outdoor Concert Series. He also played two 2002 shows inside the South Shore room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.
According to his website, the latest news and the latest chapter in the highly acclaimed Bob Dylan Bootleg Series revisits Dylan’s pivotal musical journeys to Nashville, from 1967 to 1969. They focus on recordings made with Johnny Cash and unreleased tracks from the “John Wesley Harding and Nashville Skyline” sessions. Available in three CD, three LP and digital configurations, they include 47 previously unreleased recordings, featuring alternative versions of some of Dylan’s most iconic songs: “All Along The Watchtower” and “Lay Lady Lay” and much more.
Dylan has been a critically acclaimed artist since the early 1960s. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member has won numerous Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Awards and even a Pulitzer Prize.
Dylan’s 2001 album, “Love and Theft,” was recently named No. 2 in Newsweek magazine’s list of the top 10 albums of the decade.
