Mighty Mike Schermer debuted March 15 at Harrah’s Tuesday Night Winter Blues, a weekly showcase hosted by the Buddy Emmer Blues Band. Schermer is a solo recording artist as well as the guitarist for the Marcia Ball Band. Music lovers may also know him as the former guitarist for Elvin Bishop, who famously said, “Every time I play with (Mighty Mike) my booty hurts afterwards from him kicking it all night!”
In October, Schermer released his fourth album, “Blues In Good Hands.” He moved in 2009 from Northern California to Austin, Texas, but has had a second home for years in Truckee, which makes it likely we will see him again at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.
