Queensrÿche rocked in the new year with a rousing show in the Nugget Casino Resort’s Celebrity Showroom in Sparks.
On Oct. 2 in Lake Tahoe, Queensrÿche released its second album with singer Todd La Torre, “Condition Human.” Michael Wilton (guitar), Eddie Jackson (bass) and Scott Rockenfield (drums) have been with the Seattle band since it formed in 1982. There have been four others who have filled another guitar position, which has been held by Parker Lundgren since 2009.
Photographer’s notebook: Queensrÿche played a solid 90 minutes. Not quite sold out, but very close. Definitely one of their best shows. I don’t know what it is about that room, but it’s awesome. Really not a bad seat in the house; I know, I was all over the place.
